This Privacy Policy applies to the Find My Car app (hereinafter referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, developed by Marino Lab (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider"). This service is provided "AS IS".
The Application collects the precise location of the user's mobile device. This information is used exclusively to:
Location data is processed locally on the device and is never transmitted to the Service Provider's servers or to any third party for marketing purposes.
If the user enables the Autoparking feature with motion detection, the Application uses the Google Activity Transitions API to detect physical activity transitions (e.g. in vehicle, still, walking). This data is processed locally on the device and is not transmitted to the Service Provider.
The Application may automatically collect certain technical information, including device type, unique device identifier, IP address, and operating system. This is primarily handled by Google Play Services for technical stability and distribution purposes.
The Application stores the following data locally in its private storage (Android sandbox):
All locally stored data can be deleted at any time by clearing the Application's data via Android settings.
The Application offers Premium features available for purchase via Google Play Billing. All payment transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. The Service Provider does not collect or store any payment card or payment method data. For details on how payment data is handled, please refer to the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Upon first installation, the Application grants a 7-day free trial during which all Premium features are fully accessible at no charge. The trial period is determined by the app based on the installation date recorded by the device and requires no registration or payment method.
Once the trial expires, access to Premium features is restricted until an in-app purchase is completed via Google Play Billing. No charge is ever applied automatically — the user must explicitly initiate a purchase.
The location sharing feature (Premium) generates a Google Maps link from the saved GPS coordinates and makes it available via the standard Android share sheet. The Service Provider does not transmit or record any data during this process. The destination of the shared link depends solely on the app chosen by the user.
The Application uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
The Application contains a link to the "Marinolab Store" (hosted on Lemon Squeezy), used for self-promotion. That external site is subject to its own privacy policy.
The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Locally stored data is protected by the standard Android application security sandbox. The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to protect user information, though no system can guarantee absolute security.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be communicated by updating this page with the new version and its effective date. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
